Immersive Experience at Loma Linda Hospital Recognized by Fast Company

Arriving at a hospital can be overwhelming. Luckily, at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, the youngest patients will be welcomed by Loma Land, an immersive experience created by NBBJ’s East Coast experience design studio ESI Design. Named a finalist in Fast Company’s Innovation by Design Awards, Loma Land will greet young patients with an idyllic forest of animated creatures, rustling plants and the gentle sounds of flowing water. The digital experience allows children to create custom animal companions, complete with unique colors and accessories, interact with them and then release them into the “wild” to play.
